Outside Voice

  • Outside Voice is an annotated playlist series for Spotify Advertising that amplifies BIPOC voices in the global creative community. With over 40 curators and counting, the series has only grown in sponsorships and storytelling mediums.

    Coming in to Season 2, I wanted to solidify the visual identity of Outside Voice that was introduced in Season 1. I created a modular design system that could be adapted in countless ways, but still structured within our 5-color palette.

  • In 2021, Outside Voice partnered with Target for a sponsored holiday-themed series.

    Building off the design system established in Season 2, I used the geometry and festive color palette to capture the holiday spirit without being too literal.

  • To kick off Season 3, Spotify hosted an the panel, “Representation Behind the Mic: An Outside Voice Event,” for Cannes Lions 2022.

    Wanting to refresh the look, we tapped illustrator, Sophia Yeshi, to design the cover artwork as well as a beach towel for the event.
